Blueberry Blue
It used to be that, I had no appreciation for fruit or juice. Vegetables and their juice, on the other hand, I loved and still do. Fruit was always, for me, an acquired taste. Now that it’s acquired, I can’t seem to get enough, especially if it’s blue. Oh, How I love blueberries! Those sweetly sour baubles of antioxidants mystify and mesmerize my palate. A smoothie, is not a smoothie, without blueberries. That blue concoction of frozen yogurt and fruit is ambrosia. Blueberry pie engages all of my senses; lulling me into a world of blue, blue and more blue… Blueberry bread, dipped slightly in my coffee, a tasty treat, fit for a queen. Fresh blueberries roly-poly around a bowl full of pineapple, kiwi and raspberries. My heart drops out through the soles of my feet whenever I cannot get them; I am so very blueberry blue. I rush home and meditate to calm my soul, In front of my favorite blue yen/yang wall.
