The Beautiful House
The beautiful house through the seasons, Where we all lived with our parents. Spring the snowdrops and crocuses would appear, You would see them peaking through the snow. The sidewalk would be shoveled, That you could walk safely. Spring the buds would appear on the magnolia tree, Then they would blossom beautifully. The pink blossoms excellent to view, Like an exquisite floral pattern. The house that was a home for many happy years, Beautiful tall spruces in the spacious backyard. Furnished exceptionally, the large sofa and chairs in the living-room, The accomplished paintings in the living-room. The hand carved chest in the living-room, The table that housed many birthdays. There was an upright piano in the room, Father and I would take turns playing. Christmas songs were our favorite, Years from then i would play the piano at the senior's residence. Father would listen and clap after I completed playing a song, My younger sister inherited the piano at her house. We would sit on the porch and share delicious food, Conversation with our relatives, what good memories. Author: Gwen von Erlach Schutz
