Porcelain Face
Creepy eyes staring back at me, I can’t help but think of all the ways you have killed me. Half black Half white Split down the middle made for kings but I am a peasant girl who does not laugh They call me crazy, Because you sit on the shelf every day the same way. But at 3 am I wake up and focus on your smug face. I know there must be a tiny knife clutched behind your back waiting to make a surprise attack I know you move when I look away. You love to tease Me, you little . I think I’ll lay powder down and prove it once and for all. That your little crocheted ass Is lying in wait. I wish to throw you Out. Drop you and smash Your porcelain face. Make you blind, make that smile fade. I wish you’d disappear. I’d tie your tiny hands and legs, duct tape your ugly mouth, too. I’d love bury you in a hollow ditch In the back yard somewhere But I know My aunt would mind It would hurt her heart But she would just make Another you. (So I let the little bastard Stare at me all night.) And all day I stay out of my room. I try my best to avoid you. I hate you more than your glassy eyes I am devastated today I wish for nothing more Than for you to comfort me Tell me how she stitched Every part except your face How she hand painted those big black eyes How she carefully selected Your forever smile Tell me little jester All the words she spoke All the secrets she revealed As she made you for me Tell me Make me laugh TELL ME about her You lucky doll You are the only Memory I have of her, and now I have to love you.
