Phobia
The sound of heavy breathing I pressed my right eye against the peephole Nobody was there A cold feeling ran deep through my sole As I pressed my eye against the hole Who’s their I said, in a horrified way Nobody answered Chocked up twice I said, go away go away My body pressed tightly against the door Desperate to see someone, but there was no-one I scurried to the floor, I peeked through the crack at the bottom of the door Nobody was there Thump thump footsteps sounded through my ears I see no one, but behind my door was someone Slowly, up I slithered with my back against the door Unpolished nails added scratches to the door like a wild boar Who are you, I cried, what do you want? The breathing stopped, stomp stomp stomp The sound of footsteps fading away My skin crawled with fear Curled in a corner on my face a icey tear This phobia they say dates more than a year I chose not to see I shouted, leave me alone, leave me be In this corner safe and curled Behind my door is an unknown world Sent from my iPhone
