Christ My Justifier
CHRIST MY JUSTIFIER Christ my Justifier, is declaring me today Just if I’d never wandered, nor in sin I did stray. He became my Savior on that special night When I called upon Him and gave up the fight. He is my Redeemer, ransomed me from hell, All sin past and future on Him that day fell. He declares me righteous, though I may not see How one so unworthy such as I can be. He sees me there seated in that land above, Never will He cast me from His precious love. I oft feel defeated, and the flesh I fight, But He’s won the victory through His power and might. If I just will claim it, Satan has to flee, He has lost the battle for eternity. All the condemnation for my sin is past, It has been forgotten, from His presence cast. Thank You, precious Jesus, I praise Your name today You’ve justified me freely; I’m Yours and Yours to stay! --Thoughts from a sermon by Eddie Hamby, HBC, April, 2017
