The Creation of Poetry
THE CREATION OF POETRY From deep inside simmering and covered with fragrant sauce, an imaginative dish will sometimes bubble up. I cover it with clever condiments, taste for flavor and serve it with anticipatory delight. Afterwards, the recipe is unthinkingly discarded. Most times I feel these creations are not my own but come from a source beyond thinking. And so I see myself as a mere conduit within an system flow. A living presence left to probe for new input in a search for expansion along a wayward course. A blockage occurs; a cold hard stoppage in the sentient main line. I can't get past it. Diverging paths try to take over and scrounge to find a way to take up the slack. Sometimes what is then revealed tempestuously carries within a core truth that what is hidden is almost always extracted in pain. Often the fence is too tall and rugged to climb and a splintered psyche must test its limits. As core beliefs begin to shed their sensitive skin over time, another exposed layer needs to be peeled away. With emotional angst I shed a teardrop pure and simple. For me it signifies truth and honesty of this necessary struggle And once more determined, I try CAK
