Her mother looked at the clock, it was 8:17 a.m. Shawna got behind the wheel of her blue Chevrolet, and barreled down the road, Having no idea how she was going to see her Daddy but knowing she would. Because she had dreamed of it several times last week, and today the instant she woke She knew today was the day. Her smile could not have been any wider. She passed all of her familiar haunts – her favorite hang-out restaurant, and her best friend Shel. Shel waved wildly, trying to get her to pull over, so she could tell her that she was going steady now. Jayshawna waved and yelled, “Catch you later, I am in a big hurry today!” She was invincible, she was wild, she was free. She was glancing at her phone when she came around a bend and heard the horn. It was a SEMI, in her lane. No. She was in his lane! She swerved, overcorrected, and her car landed with a horrible thud in a ditch, hitting the bank hard. Jayshawna’s Daddy was there in an instant.
