Alone-To-Lonely
You ruined it You ruined it all I was an introvert - AM an introvert I treasured my alone time It was how I re-energized, healed, cleared my mind Oh, I've always loved people and doing things with others I enjoy parties and gatherings and get-togethers as much as anyone But after a while, they wear me out And I have to get away ... for a breather Even if it's just a short time - a snippet of air. You see, the whole extrovert/introvert thing is so often misunderstood It's NOT about not liking people or wanting to be alone all the time It's about where you get your energy from and how you heal Extroverts get energized by being with others Introverts, like me, are the opposite They rebound and rejuvenate by the peace of isolation But most introverts still love folks and love socializing. I was a typical introvert my whole life I could only be with others for so long, then I'd crumble And I'd have to escape to silence and solitude You destroyed that ... completely ... irrevocably For now I NEVER want to be alone Because it means I'm without ... You.
