The One Thing
The One Thing The one thing that will never, change in life is change! As the sands and hands still keep; pouring, round and round. Ev’ry morsel, time will taste; splendor and/or haste; as we live our lives, do you spread your love around? Do you see your life in worth, spending all you have? When you spend your time with friends, are you lonely still? Does your hunger crave dessert; licking out the pan? Have you, ever lost; as so many lose their will? I have given time and thought, I have lost my way. I have been alone so long, never much to say. I have had so many friends, where are they today? I don't want to be alone. Time, for me to change! The one thing that will never, change in life is change! As the sands and hands still keep; pouring, round and round. Ev’ry morsel, time will taste; splendor and/or haste; as we live our lives, do you spread your love around? Do you see your worth in life, giving what you can? When you find yourself alone, never lonely still? Do you take the time to pray, as Thanksgiving day? Underneath the bridge, whereas I have found my will. I have found my worth in life, we're not far apart. I wait for my next paycheck; for, another start. It really takes so little; fill an empty heart! No one wants to be alone, Time, for us to change! The one thing that will never, change in life is change! As the sands and hands still keep; pouring, round and round. Ev’ry morsel, time will taste; splendor and/or haste; as we live our lives, Do you spread your love around? © 2018 Jeffrey Spencer
