Okay So R.B. , the reporting child and I Travel the length of the building, go down the stairs and disrupt the class to ask for Katie. I take the 2 girls to a quiet corner after explaining to Katie that I need her to help us solve a problem. I ask R.B. To please tell her side of the story. “Nancy said that you said that...” I stop R.B.with a “Whoa!” Reminding her that if she did not see it or hear it, it did not happen. R.B. is usually an easy-to-manipulate-pliable-quick-to-anger-girl. Oftentimes she argues that her friend would not lie to her. This is not totally her fault. You see R.B. Stands for Readily Believes. Unfortunately master instigators keep R.B.’s in almost constant turmoil. Fortunately, I am wiser than the instigators and usually pick them up next. It amazes me how often an instigator will call the pliable R. B. a liar in a mean way. Does this ruin things the next time the instigator decides to stir up the R.B.? Perhaps you have forgotten what R.B. Stands for.
