My Other Friends
Come, meet some of my good friends. These friends are rather diverse. They all spring from a different species. Presently, not all are alive today. Some of my other friends have moved away, but I have learned from them. The ANT taught me to listen. One CAT taught me how to be more grateful. Another CAT taught when to 'walk away'. Yet a third CAT insisted being paid. Animals are great teachers if we dare to observe them. Never asking me for food or water, a baby SPARROW accepted my help by flapping his wings and flying away. Trapped in a big spider's web, a YARDBUG was slow to move after I rescued him from spider's trap. The black widow lost his breakfast that day. The next year, I tried to rescue the bug. Then I spotted a SQUIRREL that was stealing my pecans. 09042018PoSoupContest, Seven-Ten Poem, Emile Pinet 22 line verse, 190 syllables with line by line syllable sequence
