Pinky Pig's Story
PINKY PIG'S STORY Pinky was proudly a much loved pet And true friend, She lived with Mr. Smith the reputed local vet, Mr. Smith kept a close eye On Pinky pig, She was a little clumsy and Somewhat big. Wherever they went, they Created a stir, Everyone knew Pinky and Truly loved her. Her treat was to trot to The village town, But to get there was steep and She often loved to roll down. And always landed at the bottom Of this road down the hill, This was part of the ritual, She loved the thrill And the spill, And always had a lot of fun. One day a filthy truck passed By, weighing well over a ton, And all Pinky heard were oinks And squeals, As mud flew off this Dirty truck’s wheels. Out of the corner of her Sharp brown eye, She recognized someone On the truck passing by, With a sensitive, pink and Inquisitive snout, She immediately spied and Smelt her kind out. The truck was travelling at A low speed, But its driver had in mind a Real dirty deed. The pigs that were travelling In this truck, Were squashed side by side In their own muck, This brought the absolute pig Out in her, As she trotted, crying, which Made her eyes blur. She shouted to the pigs in This horrible truck, They were her cousins, Who were been taken In dozens, To become bacon at a Butchers store, But their blood would first Flood the abattoir’s floor! Mr. Smith had heard This commotion and ran, Towards Pinky's squeals and Quickly covered the span, As fast as he could, For he quickly understood, What Pinky was trying to do And say, He bellowed as he ran All the way. Meanwhile the villagers began Lining the street, And aggressively stopped The truck from its beat, They pulled the driver out and Had Mr. Smith not been there, The villagers were ready to rip and To tear the driver apart, But the vet tried to stop them Before they could start! The back of the truck was Closed up tight But the villagers pulled it Open wide, And now there was nothing Left to hide! All Pinky's cousins jumped Hastily out with sheer delight And surrounded Pinky as she Helped them escape their plight! Pinky was happy, and Mr. Smith so proud, This is my friend He shouted out loud! He bent down on his knees, Among all the bushes and trees, And gave Pinky a huge big hug In front of the happy, and now Satisfied crowd!
