Romance In Autumn
'T was last night we walked. Autumn's harvest moon watched us seated above. The trees whispered quietly, for to each other they talked. All sky and all earth, couldn't help but acknowledge our love. Past the farm land and its fields traversed we on. Like security guards, the stalks of corn stood straight. The tractor slept silently, out of use on the farmer's lawn. A Jack O' Lantern smiled from the porch as we kissed on our date. The wind rustled the leaves as we walked through the park. Past the cemetery gates and over the bridge we went. With our hands held together we continued in the dark. Holding her felt so good, my love, she was heaven sent. Lights turned on as residents did arise. Houses are decorated for October and November. Dawn was coming in; her display was in the skies. Last night's traverse was a journey to remember. For always, our love is each other's to keep. For now, let us fall into silent sleep.
