I Love My Hindu View of Resurrection
You and I are different, apparently separate, and end the same at our END Death is that unannounced birthday gift, we never open in life When I entered the world, I didn't receive it, and failed to comprehend Our sure END; parents don't mention it, not even that they may open it first We still deny death, the ghostly guest, every day, until a dear family or friend Speaks of congestive heart, or cancerous conclusions of life's joyousness As diplomacy turns to hospice, freezing funeral parlors, our final RECEPTION When the living hurry back home, or to dinners, desensitized to deaths If I obey Jesus and die to Self, the ego that demands more and more ... If I die to Self, as soon as I understand the Word, I will welcome death for I will have died already, as He died only to what can die, yet rose again He conquered death, and spoke of it often (Peter hated that talk; and Commanded Jesus not leave, or welcome death. "Get thee behind Me, Satan!") Jesus transcended time and space, and lives forevermore: now and in heaven Here via the Spirit (Holy Ghost, old-timers used to say): Ghost, not Demon If I die to Self, now, I taste death, and live free, until the Day I depart "form" I join Consciousnessness. Joining Jesus. There's no plural for Consciousness amen
