Summer Cooking Rain Stops Play
I Woke this morning the sky was blue Thought that I'd have a barbecue I'll go to the shop and get some food The Sun is shining, I'm in a good mood. Now the guest list, who would I invite ? Me on my own just wouldn't be right Kim and Connie now they like beer They'll liven things up don't you fear. Jan Allison, lin lane,I'll invite them too They can recite some limericks at my do The beer will flow and so will the wine Oh that reminds me I must invite line. Illene, Caren, Haley and Pandita Carol, Alexis, and of course Nina Andrea , Eve Roper and Maureen McGreavy You're all welcome, just don't be greedy. Sunshine Smile I'll invite her as well Some tales of the Vikings she can tell. I'll get some burgers and prime steak If you don't eat meat, I'll get veggie bake. Also Carolyn, Nette , Heidi and Susan Hang on !, you're all ladies I'll be the only man I'll be running round like a butler in the buff After half an hour, I'll have had enough. Now if your name you do not see Don't be thinking, did he forget me The names you see are to make it rhyme You're welcome in my house anytime. Change of plan, I'm sorry to be a pain Just heard the forecast it's going to rain Sorry to let you down but I'll pour some beer Raise my glass to you all and wish you good cheer. Written on 27th June 2018. For summer cooking contest sponsored by Kim Rodigues and judged on 19th July 2018.
