Oh Yes I Can See
To detect a nuance of a sound, of a voice, quickly learnt if blind, the nuance of facial expression aid the sighted, eyes, silent voices, yet for all that can see, there are those who are blind, metamorphically, blinkered, a true tale; I'm in a queue, at my fathers and mothers side, to kill time, I am noting all the flora and fauna, in my mind, a lengthy list, a nudge from my dad, were moving forward, boy am I glad, dad asks what was I up to, he had noted me looking all around, I pointed out all the static wildlife that did abound, on and in the sidewalk nooks and crannies, walls, tiny holes, niches, roof gutters, all manner of flora found, "Son", he said, "I walk around blind", "Dad", I said, "Your not alone, ask mum what she's seen since being in this queue", he did, her reply, "Nothing, but I am sick of waiting", dad looked at me and said, "Michael, my son, you've opened my eyes", my reply, "No dad, your eyes can see, I've just removed your metamorphic blinkers, sadly", I continued, "ninety-nine percent of the world population is just like thee", the queue moved and we are all in, the Christening begins, the registrar swats a fly, a human nuance, the lack of toleration, oh yes I can see.
