No One Knows
I'm singing along with this song I so want to belong either right or wrong There's a raging storm against the sea Possibly, I've been wrong all along, baby Incredibly tired of losing it over and over I long to be next to you, my lucky four-leaf clover Frankly, I am breathless from your rollercoaster of insanity Sincerely, I am endlessly brewing away the tears from my eyes of set-me-free I tuck in my shoes And make a run Singing along with the blues Life has just begun I'm on my own on the road to nowhere in particular The sun is shone in your eyes of something peculiar I won't go home where I roam for so long I want you and I to stand among The crowd of envious people...such lovely people The atlas to your lost soul is grand as a whole Lonely as a lark in the dark I am not as sturdy as an ark Believe me, don't leave me on my own Surprisingly, I won't grieve for you, for I'll be gone On and on and on, I run into the shining sun There's a ton of stuff I haven't said yet But, I'll make it up to you, so you'll make me your outlet Regret and doubt drown my mind There's someone inside that died Alone and fearless, but I cannot find You in the wilderness in which you hide I can't deny those lies you spoke last night Yesterday, you were confident with all your might I can't deny those goodbyes you sang to me in delight Pull me away from the darkness, for I look up to you like the light In the shadows, No one knows Where the wicked wind blows But, in your glorious eyes, it shows In the radiant reflection, I catch a glance at your affection You healed my infection And you showed me true, divine direction Oh, you can't let go of my sweater You were always a bit of a go-getter I tried to tell you things will get better You're skin is smooth and your touch is as soft as a feather You create in me a precious, gracious love Love of mine, you'll do fine on your own Just like I did, but you're too high above I can't reach out to you...I feel somewhat alone You strike me as a lone stranger in a strange place I can't replace you with a trace of grace upon your face You play me like your ancient guitar and I am dancing on the dance floor You play me like a vanity violin and I am glancing at you all the more I have been touched to the core...I know I am such a bore You're the one I have always adored Who are you to tear me apart...what are you waiting for? I'm rocking back and forth like a boat that I can't afford Down as the ground, But high as the rainbow sky I'm adventure-bound It's reality talking I can't deny Most of me has fallen silent as the midnight moon All of me is wrapped up in your elegantly-weaved cocoon I have jumped the ring of fire It scorched me aflame many times just for your sake You are my inspiration I desire You forced me to believe in myself, even before I break My mind's melody of hopelessness Surviving and thriving in happiness ~2-18-18
