Just Within Reach (Part 1)
Sitting on my stool trying to ignore the dregs around me, their worse than a swarm of mosquitos. This is truly testing my patience, and bringing my companion hate to the surface, my crimson filled vision engages, I think I am trying to remain calm though I really don't want to, do they even deserve their next breath? I can feel the illusion of my appearance shimmer, the beast that I am screams in my skull running into the walls wanting out, the shadows in the place darken, calling to me and in the time it takes a dead fly to fall to the ground I shove my claw through the chest of the person next to me, (ah now that's better), dissipating into the shade under the bar I leap out by the front door slashing the neck of someone standing there nearly taking his head off, and as his blood sprays upon the other patrons the screams begin caressing my ears, (oh the beauty of it), lashing out I rake open the gut of another, leaping I bite out the throat of the next, (yes the blessed taste), blood squirting me in the face as I land on her chest, hands thrashing in a blur I shred a few that were frozen, now dead before they hit the floor. Back into the shadows, stepping out in the back where some are cowering in the corner. I adjust my trench, then press them in tighter and start devouring the one in the front, ripping out chunks of flesh spitting half in the faces of the ones behind, wailing they beg for their lives from their bloodstained faces.
