Ocean's Child - Looking For Hope In the Past
Submerged echoing whale tests the ocean's depths and width, Coyote's moonlight call tries to fathom cool reflected light, Buddhist's breathless "a-u-m," entertains cherry blossom's fall, Galaxies too, seem to flee their own, seek the "Other," That which is more, that which surely must be, for "NOW" to exist, All creation's just a taste of the inevitable "WHAT IS TO COME!" Swimming is a word we all have a liquid kinship with, With or against the tide (upstream or downstream), just water! Buoyantly we float out of our depth through life on time, Even our death, not the absolute ending we might aspire to! If the "Big Bang" seems an implausible origin to many, How likely is it that death is something that exists in fact? Brian Johnston April 8, 2018
