Awakening
Today I just laughed at myself for not noticing the calamity about to happen that day. How could I not see the poison hidden within those fragrance of the flowers. It is so funny how the thing you wanted could destroy you. The only thing I could do at this point of discovery and awakening is just to laugh. But so grateful I stopped myself on time and avoided the sting from the thorns of those deadly flowers. How could I not see it. I smell the flowers. but deaf and dumb to its poison. I will never forget this day, it will burn into my bones. Someone who doesn't hold his life dear, can not take anything else as precious. My heart resonates to this overwhelming peace within my being. Today is awesome, filled with bliss and gratitude towards life. ©Emeka Mokeme. All Rights Reserved.
