He was headed in one direction, and for no apparent reason, he decided to change course. When he changed directions, I decided to block his pathway, thinking that he would continue his original course. Well, I was mistaken. Even when I tempted him with a candy mint, he wanted none of it, but insisted on ‘going his own way’. So I withdrew, allowing him to proceed as I returned to reading my book. Several minutes passed, and I was reminded to seek the whereabouts of my friend the ant. Little did I realize that my search would end so soon. I looked around the floor and then took a look under the cabinet sink. It was there that I found the ant, but not in the manner that I suspected. In that precise moment, he was being reeled into the Web of a spider. It was a scene that I had never before witnessed. To some extent, it was thrilling for me to have a front row seat, beholding the wild kingdom at work in the bathroom of my home.
