Cudda Been
cudda been cudda been the booze or the drugs or the cheap moldy rooms or the low dives we played in or the brawls or the " i just don't give a f**k anymore" thinking. we used to be on top. a helluva good band. played the top rodeos and the big clubs. hell we even played gilley's and the lone star down in texas. take ole' allie over there. used to be the best bass player around. said he went to vietnam or some shit hole across the water. now nobody can count on him to even show up sober if the bastard shows up at all. says he's seeing things and hearing things. says he's depressed and can't sleep. that ain't shit. i've been married three times. twice to my old lady. now that's depressing. and me...here lately i've done everything i shouldn't have done and done nothing i should have done and the way i look at it...that makes us all even.
