Wildfire
I opened my heart to you Knowing it was wrong You came into my life, like a wildfire Scorching every thought besides the ones of you You imprinted a picture of you on the front page of my mind Leaving me with a burning desire to be with you My mind is a projector, projecting pictures of you I can see your elegant smile Your beautiful penetrating eyes Your forever amazing beauty I can't shut it off or stop it I want to see you, hear you, feel you But now the wildfire has smoldered out The fire put out by the gushing waters of heartbreak Knowing I can't be with you, a form of hell I try to forget but I can't help going back I can't sleep, can't think, can't move without you on my mind I know I need to let you go To know you're with someone else, a greater torture Looking at pictures of you, rages the wildfire memories All that remains now, burn scars, of a once pleasant wildfire I need to move on from this now tormented wasteland Living through the scars is the only way to see you Then I'll carry the burden of reliving this broken down wildfire.
