'the Breakdown of Us'
before the intentions of man reaped, the iniquitous momentum of apparitions harvested habitual moons for security- no rest for redemption when seeking resolution. derived from favoritism and mentalism, there's the breaking down of monuments to sate each pillar- factions upon factions reveal intimate desires- inquiring minds feed off intellect; you, once a wise man, came to share your frankincense. a bag of silver traded for treason cannot steal my fortitude- the betrayal is simple, it’s known to change the world and what is to be expected. the light should shine in darkness, as the creator intended. unhinged and damaged, the collection of affection severs the direction of the unknown. (please come home) why did you cast the first stone? the winds of change have blown… there’s an old crooked and wooden desktop; a letter in it filled with metaphors and syllables- I dug it out of the drawer for safe keeping, yet all that is written is just a fable told to ease lonely souls in times of distress. we came to a truce in our holy war, adolescence became nothing but a youthful fantasy reaching for resistance. change comes regular- like seasons. I whisper in a winter hush words of dialect no one can understand except the gods who tried to save me… not too long ago. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “you stung me like a viper, kissed me like a lover- became the pied piper, for I’ll never know another world as high as your kite, as you bit me out of spite- I have stayed right inside, constant internal suicide, as I try freedom and hide, I hold onto sacrifice too tight.” (nonsensical and baneful, I am nothing but a self-annihilated woman; one who seeks only destruction.)
