Adultery the yes view

As i lay here in  my hospital bed
Many thoughts run through my head
Unable to move a limb
Is it fair to my husband Jim

A man has itches
That need to be scratched
As long as he  pays for it
I can live with  that

May sound so  clinical
But thats just life
After the accident
Can no longer be his wife.

Can  no longer hold him
Or feel the love that he gives
Fate played a cruel blow
When i was left to live,

Interesting write! If married couples actually THOUGHT really hard about what their decisions would cause instead of thinking of instant gratification maybe their decisions for an instant itch to be soothed by refusing going down that road of adultery maybe divorces and broken homes would not be! But then again we're talking about humans who majority of the times are rarely satisfied. Have a beautiful week! Patricia L

I agree totally with you, I just wrote this as an alternative, using knowledge of situations like this. As a nurse I come across such things. Didnt think anyone else would write an alternative angle...Seren

I enjoyed your poem on adultery, you gave it a different twist, who knows the situations involved, many things in life are not black and white, as we would like them to be, a difficult subject to broach, your brave to write about it, vie

As a nurse i see this side of things, I know it might upset some people though, but they have their own opinion. Thought it had to be written. . Seren
