Young Arthur
The castle, there, upon the hill The realm for all to see The home of the king, the proud and strong, One day it shall be me Here, in the stone, destiny Awaiting my youthful hand The people here, they need a king Am I to rule the land? Ah, but in a dream, the wizard came No man I have seen before He told me of my future there And all that was in store He pointed to a table round To beauty for which I lust A friendship with a mighty knight That would end in pure disgust He showed me things I never had And the power yet to yield He told me of Excalibur And of my mighty shield. So, on this day, though to beware My fingers held on tight And as I stand upon this rock I will pull with all my might. For if destiny is to be real Then I must do as foretold And I will live in history With all the kings of old.
