Incaged Memory
Think of me when you hear the crows Hear my cries for help each time the wind blows Every time you see a flock of birds see it as reminder of how far memory goes Each time you see a lonely black bird pick him up brush him off and send him on his way Not a day goes by I wish for someone to do the same Death can be happy if nothing else keeps us sane Of course though there are few who may just disagree Find me a tree in hopes regain my strength The words can hurt much worse then the shackles or the chains Held captive like a slave or some kind of pet Inside my memories the harsh ones I wish to be able to forget So far to no success I am still just a lone black bird struggling on my lawn People prefer to remind you of mistakes just so we can't move on Although cold it might be to say i feel safer starved inside my cage Ironicly though I tried to flee for i was searching for a list memory. Now on the lawn do i see a hungry stray dog to one way or another finally come to free me
