Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Shadow Of A Doubt Weighing on my heart and soul my fears they run so deep. I went to bed to rest my head and soon fell fast asleep. I began to dream it seems all I could do was look. Visions passing through my mind like pages in a book. I saw me as a little boy I’m playing in a park. I hear my mother calling me come in, it’s getting dark. Ignoring all her cries for me convinced I’ll be alright. I turned my back, slipped through a crack and went deeper in the night. My dream then changed and rearranged I’m older in my room. Shades are drawn I’m all alone it feels more like a tomb. Peering through the blinds I shut from the inside looking out. I’m trapped here in the darkness of a shadow of a doubt. I looked in time to see me there the day I took the Fall. I cleared my mind in time to find it’s not a dream at all. Edwin C Hofert 11/29/2017
