Larry Oaks
Yo, Larry Oaks, you thought it shocking When you got hit in the noggin With a pound of brick soaked in haterade Like it's something out of outer space Take it or leave, ain't nothing to this case We've all been down this road before Upon a place, upon a time, need I say more? Mugged and murdered for all our treasures But we refuse to take the fall for society's ills I don't know, it's not your fault But in the end it's your call Choose what you are going to do, sit Or stand up and ask questions Beg to be heard, for what it's worth Ask questions and draw parallels And reach conclusions Is your purpose what somebody else made up Or was it revealed to you in a vision? Put the gun down, son And stop pandering to mass delusion I beg you, tread with trepidation Life is short but your insolence will make it shorter Don't let this end in conflagration We have all the laws, but still no order And I'm getting older Can't spend retirement watching over my shoulder If you insist on your right to insist I say you are on your own, but never alone So what does this whole thing recall? Let's wait and see how it resolves Divide the plug equally Between observers and contenders And watch with arms akimbo
