It Came To Pass
So it came to pass and another year is over and now the head scratching and shaking for the countless failings and shortcomings. were charity and goodness my guiding light or was it still the same I, me and mine? was I the best person that I could possibly be, always stopping by to lend a helping hand? or driven by detachment from fellow beings, turning a blind eye to the next person’s cry? did I once pause to be a good Samaritan or was I no better than a follower of Satan? was I an instrument of the Master’s peace in this world of chaos and unhappiness? was love a bit of a factor in this hollow life or was self-love still my all and everything? So it came to pass and another year is over and here I stand in front of a mirror, gazing once again at my own sorry reflection.
