In This House of Madness
In this house of madness, I walk like a ghost, searching the corridors for what I have lost. Where am I? Where have I gone? So many things you do not know about me, I am not what you see, I am something else. Maybe I should not be telling you this but I need to turn to someone. I am leaving scratch marks against the walls of hell but fires keep holding me back, it is becoming too hot and there is no control. I have to force time to stand still awhile. In the beginning, before I knew of a diabolical world, only the waters kept me comfortable and warm, the security of my mother's blood, the love of her hand rubbing over her swollen belly, let her know I was really there. Grasps of air set my vocal cords aflame and there I was boundless energy screaming to the world. Another poor human has arrived, they did not know what I was saying then and till today they will never know. Nights I was pushed outside like a tropical animal put out into the snow.
