Their Special Journey
My usual visit to the nursing home, turned into a day I will never forget. One little lady, always sitting alone, never any company. and as I entered the building. She always looked at me, but never spoke a word, somehow things were different today, she had the brightest smile on her face, reached out her arms to me, and gave me the biggest hug I ever had in my life. Strange, I thought to myself, so I walked to the nurses station, and ask them what had happened to the little lady today? They said, she has been acting strange all day, started about two this morning, giggling, and just as happy as can be. I could hear her talking to someone, so I walked a little closer, to my amazement, she was talking to her long passed husband. I think the nurses said, he had been deceased about twenty five years, and she had never spoken his name since, actually, never had spoken any ones name. I could hear her telling him how much she had missed him, and the touch of his hand. I was mad at you for a long time for leaving me, but Jesus told me everything was going to be ok, just keep my faith... You would be back. Our children ... now how many did we have? Well, you would think we didn't have any, for no one ever comes to see me. Now, here you are again, just like we have never been apart. You say we are taking a journey tonight, you want to take me to the most special place ever. I am ready, I have been waiting for you so long. Is it time for us to go?
