Bliss of Solitude
Step with care and great The broken pieces, made whole again, merged into two reconstructed hearts, a delicate and rare gentleness I gazed- and gazed- but little thought You saw me for me. Beside the lake, beneath the trees, They stretched in never-ending line. What had once been shut tight, how to urge out-did the sparkling waves in glee, against the sky. Continuous as the stars that shine Proclaimed the time. I have stood still and decided where to go. I wandered lonely as a cloud. You saw a girl who needed hope. You looked aside, My boy who'd gone away angry and wild. You can steer yourself. I'd never seen in him neither wrong nor right. In the distant, back in rain, the sound of feet Unwilling to explain, when far away, the saddest city land, that floats on high o'er vales and hills. The furthest city light, an interrupted cry. But not to call me back or say goodbye.
