Forest Faeries
Deep in forests of richest green Faeries looked after trees Seeds and nuts were collected broken branches repaired Such Forest Faeries were rarely seen For trees have magic Faeries too In green clouds of forest leaf They took on every hue As seasons changed The Faerie colours changed too For trees loved Faeries And Faeries loved trees The gentle swaying of branches In a wind so light In a land of summer bright Deepest green Tempered with golden sun You cannot see Where Faeries have been When a branch breaks on a tree Sit quietly For a Faerie will come And set it right When night falls In a Heartstone forest Dozens of tiny lights Begin their dance Throughout the Magic Trees At night Faeries fly If you listen carefully If the wind is just right You can hear Faerie song
