The Dream Maker
You and i walking on the beach in my dreams, Everything is perfect or at least that is how it seems. Your laughing and giggling still something don't feel right, Because i know if i were to wake it was just for the night. You had that sparkle in your eyes and that smile on your face, The dream was so real i could smell, touch, and taste. We swam in the ocean and collected sand dollars on the beach, There wasn't a moment in this dream that you were out of my reach. We made love in the sunset and watched the stars in the sky, Then the Dream Maker showed up and suddenly you began to cry. He said"Hurry make it hasty." and i couldn't understand why. At that moment I realized that this was just a dream, I wish it could last forever; hell i'd do anything. I pleaded with the Dream Maker to stall a little time, Then you instantly vanished and I lost once again what was mine. I woke up in a prison cell to a picture of your face, With a sand dollar in my hand and that oh so familiar taste.
