The Whispers of a Little Boy
“I'M SO SORRY MOMMY”, he said when he treaded mud, a young boy so full of boyish things and toys- But he was not like any of the other boys, this one had cancer running through his thin blood. “I'LL MISS YOU MOMMY”, he said the night before he died, a night so full of anguish and mommy watching him sleep- If only her sweet little baby boy she could keep, but instead she held him all night as she cried. “I LOVE YOU MOMMY”, were his last words spoken, a little boy so full of life had been taken too soon- To his mommy and daddy, he had hung the moon, and now the gentle hearts of two parents are broken. “IT'S OK MOMMY", in heaven I’ll be”, he quietly voiced, a life so full of sickness had finally come to an end- So off to heaven mommy and daddy did send, a little boy who never had been given a choice. “GOODBYE, MY SWEET BOY”, mommy whispered at the tomb, a long day so full of sorrow she’ll never forget- But the wonderful thing is that she holds not one regret, for she was just grateful to have birthed him from her womb. My sweet boy was too young to die in vain. The love of a child outweighs that of mankind- And in his final moment a goodbye whispered was savored. The heavens welcomed one more angel to sleep in peace after dying in pain. Enclosed rhyme followed by etheree I thought I'd mix two "E" forms, but I understand if it's not what you are looking for.
