The Reason Why
No one knows the reason why The sleepless nights go by and by The salty tears that never cease For your jumbled mind has not found peace No one knows the reason why God puts you through this by and by The hurt that never seems to end The memories relived round every bend No one knows the reason why Those “ifs” and “when’s” that make us cry For a broken heart that’s not at ease The loved ones closest never seem to please No one knows the reason why It seems so hard to say goodbye Our pains run free from teary eyes For no one knows the reason why But only God knows what is best For patience is the biggest test And if you keep on going through I swear true love will come to you No one knows the reason why But the stars are watching in the sky And once the night has turned to day The sun will show you on your way
