Seven Days Until Christmas
Seven days until Christmas, Santa was antsy. His reindeer safely stabled at his North Pole Farm. He asked Mrs. Claus to get dressed red and fancy. It was time for their annual sleigh ride; his charm! Their marvelous magic donkey surely should do. So, he hitched up the sleigh and prepared for their ride. Then, he and his bride sat together, real close, too. He traversed worldwide skies, Mrs. Claus by his side. The weather was icy, but Santa Claus was warm. Mrs. Claus’s rosy cheek soft on his shoulder, In love she held tightly to his hefty strong arm. Year after year they seemed younger never older. Many loving memories frolicked in their heads. Still, she surely missed going on Christmas night’s run. Snuggled and cozy, having worn out many sleds, Seven days before Christmas they always had fun. He stood on the seat laughing while shouting, “Ho! Ho!” “I love Mrs. Clause; she is my dashing delight.” “Come dance with me Sweetheart.” His face shining, aglow! They wiggled and giggled while they danced there that night. Seven days before Christmas, across land and sea. Look up; you might see them on their annual route. Santa shouting with glee, “Mrs. Claus still loves me.” Merry Christmas, my darling, let’s go home … lights out!
