Your drops tickling the leaves, of the weeping willow trees, As they bow willingly, to the airs’ fresh smelling breeze! Then sudden sounds of rumbling, flickers of light therewith, Followed by heavy rain; car windshield wiper moving quick. The shades of blue from above, now a gray and white blanket, People taking cover, closing windows, lights off “click!” Soon there’s calm, the sun appears, its rays glowing bright, Each blade of grass rain nourished, standing tall in the light. Birds and Squirrels’ at play, leaping from limb to limb, Playing, catch me if you can, enjoying gaiety on a whim!
