The Right Stuff
The Right Stuff The Right Stuff Men of armor hearts pure as gold They hold it inside onto a new episode Shapes of trees colors fleeting bending of the knees Our fallen hero's bright in battle Among the embers filtered through a shadow The pulse of a heart will light a spark to what we are looking for A hero in arms men of valor press on into the night The right stuff smack in the middle of the scene A bell to hear the chime or was it the ring The astronaut in the sky would shout & scream Long rush to get to church and watch freedom ring Out of the silence we get a thought of love Vested in the hearts from out of the sky above A soldier's claim to fame in which we stand The intense heat and bloodshed in our street We must choose to become a beacon of hope To a hurting world torn in the bitter cement of glue Having bitten off far more then we could ever chew For the price of freedom has hurled men's souls away As a bird reaches down to the ground searching for it's prey The cold clap in the dark shall light the spark to what we are waiting for Lest I implore another opened door by which to humbly explore The right stuff out on the sreet were people meet As we seek inside the silence of the Sycamore tree Barren sprouts upon us with fallen embers a vast memory Look to the sun to make you get by never to a substance that gets you high The sweet spice of life for another chance to roll the dice
