It was you not me no solace of comfort under this blanket of despair, tried my hardest was this the man I was brought up to be. Massaged your feet and mind with gentle touches and deep conversation, my ears yours to bend, both shoulders for you to cry upon. Years spent together, few days apart was this the reason you said we had to end and bring my dreams crashing to the ground like boulders down a mountainside. Dreams I had made with eyes wide open, planned to be a dad better than the one I had. A family of you and me children 2 or 3 nothing mattered as long as you were there, that’s all shattered like a glass into a thousand pieces. A new born I am new life I have to find, without my better half in this world I now wander.
