Letter To Drunk Drivers
He screams in the dead of night, I wake up with nothing but fright, I wish I could help, but I know I can’t, The thought of him getting better is very scant, He cries in the day from the pain he is in, The thoughts from the accident, in my head spin, I know it’s not my fault but it’s just so hard, The memories from that day leave me scarred, I wish things would go back to before, And the feelings inside me are at war, I wish I could take all the pain from him, But the chances of him getting better, are so slim, it kills me inside every day, it surrounds me with, a cloud of grey, I know I can’t help he is now disabled, everywhere we go, it’s like he is labelled, To all the drunk drivers, stop it please you will leave someone praying heartbroken, on their knees
