After the Election
All the world has gasped in shock- Finally the United States election is over, and the unknown lurks ahead for all to watch and to wonder. Even here in Canada we are so entangled and invested in the final, results, after all we share a border and a long relationship. The people of the United States and Canada are linked in so many ways, holding the same values and we have always been this way, ever friends- and I pray we always and forever remain this way. Even though the results were not what some wanted, let people put all that behind now and work for peace together. Elections can get bitter but hopefully there will be a shaking of hands. Courage is what the loser needs, I pray for this person with all my heart. Today, I am dreaming of a Utopia for our border friends with Canada, so in the next few months we will see what this new President is all about. On the surface it looks tragic to some but lets give him a chance, and not dwell on negatives but on new ideas. Who knows where that will lead? _____________________________ November 9, 2016 Poetry/Acrostic/After The Election Copyright Protected, ID 16-847-493-0 All Rights Reserved. Written under Pseudonym.
