Two Days Away
Two Days Away By Franklin Price 11/6/2016 Two days away and closing fast Next Tuesday's chance will be the last To cast your vote for president The future White House resident Only two still have chance To wear this country's leader's pants Neither one is much admired Yet Tuesday one of them is hired If you care must cast your vote Though either one will rock the boat Will float or sink the ship of state For whom you vote you must relate One has been a part for years Of Washington, how it appears Of what it does today for you The monkey in the public zoo The other hasn't been a part Yet promises to pull the cart To put this country back in place To grow again and save our face The former says there's room for change Establishment to rearrange Respect the people once again They've lied before and it's a sin The latter with bad choice of speech Says that recovery's in our reach Together we can make things right If we together fight the fight. Go to the polls and don't stay home From Florida and North to Nome Follow your heart and have your say Of who will win election day
