Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required American Pies and Porkies I’m not American though I spent a year in California the land of beaches Hollywood ‘flower power’ ‘Big Sur’ with dopey dreams and have walked ‘bear’-foot in Yosemite thus I followed the elections with a sense of comical joy and madness’ sadness hoping someone would pinch me harder but even blue and black with bruises its not a dream The comedy of Trump versus Clinton with bad hair dos and bad mailed attitudes sure gave an image to the world of who the ‘saviours’ of the ‘free world’ could be and sent me into hilarious laughter equalled only by the parliamentary channel in Johannesburg ~ Banana Republic ~ The fun might not be over yet as courts might still proceed over chads and e-mails VP’s could be called into power the fake sun tan could melt and the bearer admit the joke ‘Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness’ are on the horizon but what will help me with all that post election blues I contemplate and seek assurance in business as usual and take solace in the real world of business and military the Federal Reserve and stars spangled banter of the common man and women at Cuban Bay windows and guns for all and all lives that matter in the land of plenty and constitution bent like balloon animals into shape ~ Mary Jane Candy ~ Whoever wins real people don’t cry and politics is for sissies since even my cat and gold fish bullions know that the real power brokers are not elected when they swing from rocket chandeliers and stock their market shares and take the piss out of deluded self important wannabee democrats casting their voice and their vote in precious paranoia of having a say So bring out the fireworks and remember remember the 8th of November but keep the Peace for God and country’s sake although just thinking that the People have not really chosen might brand you a terrorist or commie traitor left over from Selma or Montgomery ~ Ring Of Fire ~ Uncork the bottles and top up that Halloween hangover to tie you over until Thanksgiving and thereafter its only 31 more days to unwrap Pagan prezzies foisted by commerce down throats and through chimneys unless of course you’re a true follower of Jesus or Krishna and reindeer don’t fly but even then a coma has advantageous denial from opium or booze William Hogarth’s Gin Lane comes to mind or what’s left of it but oh well that was before that tea party in Boston when freedom was hailed for the settlers well for the affluent ones ~ Wounded Knee ~ Kneel and occupy your street if you cannot find walled streets under the bridge where you reside and let it all rip blast and thunder take it all off your burdened shoulders your bodies and get that tattoo always hankered for with the star of Mercedes and the cap of a jester Such delight and such honesty will secure your rightful place and if not the right side of death or the right side of Brooklyn then go back to Yosemite Falls and pretend the fun of ~ American Dreams And Pigs That Can Fly ~ Waiting for 8th of November
