The Choice Is Yours
The choice is yours There is a little ball of fur playing inside a paper bag And it chases every ball that it see’s rolling past. It is learning how to hunt, using stealth and quick reactions; It is stalking its prey every time it moves and it waits in anticipation. A piece of string is attached to a ball that is placed before the cat And every time I pull the piece of string to make the ball move, The cat leaps into action and suddenly attacks. But its attention span is short And soon it loses any interest when nothing moves across the floor. But I can control the puppet on a string; Do I mean the ball or the cat? Or did I just make you read my words, Simply for my own pleasure, just to amuse. What do you think about that? (C)2016 Aa Harvey. All Rights Reserved.
