You left such a mess but I’ll take care of your things- Oh my, how much sadness such a tragic death brings. They say in time a broken heart will eventually heal- I say to them, “well you don’t know exactly how I feel”. Time withers away like the dust on the forest grounds- And brings more sadness when in the lost and found. I still can’t believe that six short years have passed- Seems like yesterday is when I kissed you last. Why is it that every year time seems to fly more quickly? It didn’t seem too long ago you were frail and sickly. With the swift of a memory and a quick moment of regret- Brings me back to your final days, oh I’ll never forget. Time is funny sometimes, how it shows no mercy- Even though years are brisk, for your touch I’m still thirsty. In thirty years I will look back and wonder how time flies so fast- And I will embrace the fact empty days are nothing but the past.
