Black Or No Black
When I was a child I would smile broadly But now that I'm old I don't Everything that was dark I saw it so colorful and beautiful I would smile to everyone And when they smiled back It was amazing But what I didn't know The world is cruel I wanted to play with every child But their mothers would carry them inside I never saw it as a big deal Till today is when I understand better That my color was my enemy Until they told me I was black The color that would neither Splash nor smear on them This is ridiculous But now I know The world is cruel You think I'm black I think you lack color I was just a child But no mercy to the innocent What do you call that But now I'm old enough And I stand my ground Black or no black You will respect my position on earth And now that I know No more cruelty
