Just Another Day
Silent tears poured from her wounds, Making tracks forever known, Rage and Pain echoed around her in silence, Laughter at the thought of being alone, One drop of acid in an eye, Pain multiplied tenfold by salt in the wound, Pounding heart complicated by resentful lungs, Waiting for someone to say she had bloomed, Screams shut down, cries held back again, Accursed by the blames of others, Spirit and self-love ripped to shreds, Another day, just another, Hand in hand, hand on metal, Foot on cold hard love, Tongue on shame, hard pressed in silence, Heart singing in rhythm, heart cold focused on things above, Not just another day, not another day, Screams shut down, cries held back again, Tears of remembrance, tracks forever known Last day, singing silent songs of pain.
