The thoughts coursing through my mind, the blood rushing through my veins, There's no respite from my concerns, no pills for my pains. The other side of the bed, is a constant reminder of you, The horror that you caused me, the hell you put me through. You're no longer here, my fear won't go away, I'm afraid you'll come back for me, I face that dread every day. You broke my heart, you shattered my soul, You destroyed my spirit, you ensured I never felt whole. I realise now you're gone, I have to rebuild my life, I never have to feel the pain again, that cut through me like a knife.
